Self Care
One might ask, what does she have to escape from?
Actually, I think what reflects my current state of existence the best is something said by Dr Oz on 1/28/2018. He was talking about “self-care” and he said: “building a life you don’t have to escape from.”
That’s where I have been longing to be for some time. I didn’t know how to do it, but it came through some deep introspection and prayer. I’m developing that life.
I like the word he used, “building”. Building requires planning, organization, effort, creativity and courage. I’m building a new life but I’m using materials that I have loved all my life: faith and family and poems, prayers and promises. These are my building blocks for deliberate escape.
