It all started years ago with a promise to one day travel to Italy
Last summer the dream came true. Prior to our departure, we didn’t spend endless hours plotting and planning but we did enough to warrant a fabulous trip. I think the most important part to get right is where you plan on staying. If you have your accommodations down, everything else can be easily adjusted. We made some great choices of where to go and what to see but within those choices a few mistakes were made. Nothing too catastrophic but perhaps as you read, you will gain some insight which hopefully you can apply to your travels-wherever that may be,
I plan on taking you through our journey from the north to the south of Italy; all within less than 2 weeks travel time. It may not be an ideal way to travel for some but if you want to get a good feel for different parts of the country, it is doable. We were able to see and enjoy a good portion of Italy and now we know where to go the next time we are afforded another opportunity to travel to this ancient land.
Please join me as I share with you where we went, what we did and what we learned along the way starting in Lake Como->Tuscany-> Puglia. Three amazing areas all with their unique geography, culture and food. However, there was a common thread throughout each region the people were warm-hearted and hospitable.
I hope you join me as I share with you the beauty and wonder of Italy. A land with deep rooted culture, delicious delights and amazing sights; some man-made and others just natural beauty. Maybe I’ll even through in some…
