Jul Aften

The word ‘aften’ in Norwegian, means ‘eve’, but it reminds me of the word ‘after’. However, Jul Aften is Christmas Eve not the day after Christmas. As I write, it is Christmas Eve Morning and the day of anticipation is unfolding.

The rain brought in warm air. The rain has since gone and we are left with a beautiful sunny day. It isn’t quite clear, clouds do linger, but the sun created such a nice glow this morning as it ascended in the sky above.

It is a day of anticipation and hope.

Hope all the preparation brings joy.

Hope that the time together is very meaningful.

Hope that the glow of the season brings warmth to the hearts of those near and far.
