Why do we do it?

Why do we choose to put ourselves in a place of vulnerability? A place of criticism?

It's like art. Some will love it, and some will not. 

Perhaps like you, I wouldn't have much to say if I didn't have joy and struggles in my life. That being said, "it's been a good life all in all". (John Denver) 

Life is filled with choices. Some are more difficult than others. For me, I recently made some life-changing decisions that have allowed me to enter a new direction in my life that I consider a deliberate escape. Not a deliberate escape from reality, but a new direction and focus for my life.
